Child Care University
Early childhood educators, childcare providers, and other professionals are invited to participate in the annual Child Care University Early Childhood Conference. Presented by University of Illinois Extension in partnership with Community Coordinated Child Care and Sauk Valley Community College, Child Care University is a day of learning geared toward childcare professionals. Featuring a variety of sessions on timely and relevant childcare topics, Child Care University supports childcare practitioners in providing quality childcare. This full day of learning and sharing of ideas helps childcare providers and early childhood educators to enrich the quality of care provided to both children and families. Keynote speaker, Joyce Hemphill, will provide an interactive and powerful session on The Power of Playful Learning. Breakout session topics include nutrition, brain development, Ag in the Classroom, emotional intelligence, child health, and other relevant topics. Cost of the daylong seminar is $35 and includes lunch. Attendees will earn professional development credits towards their Illinois Gateways registry. Pre-registration is required by February 22.
