Annual Dinner Outstanding community leaders and Customer Service Award recipients are recognized by the Chamber. 150% members are also recognized at this event and receive one complimentary reservation. Bulk Mailings Members can utilize the Chamber's bulk mailing permit to receive a sizeable discount on mailings of 200+ pieces. Contact the Chamber to schedule your next mass mailing. Business Showcase Annual event designed to showcase area businesses and community organizations to the public. Participants promote their businesses products and services during this 2-day show. Members receive a discounted rate to participate in this event. Certificate of Origin The Chamber can provide certificates of origin for any area business that may need this trade document. Committees Members can select from several chamber committees and volunteer to help with a variety of activities throughout the year. Each committee has a varying degree of time commitments. Contact the office or consult the membership services directory for more information including committee descriptions, meeting times and average time commitments. Customer Service Award Each month the Chamber honors one member for their “above and beyond” customer service. Nominations are submitted by community members. A photo and caption are placed in the Chamber's Partnering for Success newsletter & in the Daily Gazette newspaper. E-AdBlast Sauk Valley Area Event Line is a promotional E-mail sent to all Chamber members on Monday's each week. For $25 members can promote upcoming events, programs & activities through this electronic ad blast once a month. E-newsletter Each Friday members receive Weekly Wrap, an e-newsletter which contains information on various items of interest, governmental affairs & the following weeks Chamber event schedule. Industrial and Club/Organization Lists Members can obtain lists of area clubs and organizations at no cost. Mailing Labels Current members may obtain one FREE set of mailing labels per year. This list contains nearly 500 business contacts. Additional sets are available at $10 per request. Maps Limited numbers of city, county and state maps are available free to members. Meeting Room Member businesses may book the Chamber conference room two times per month free of charge, based on availability. Non-member businesses may utilize the room for a $25.00 charge. Membership Directory Current members are included in the chamber's directory which can be found on the chamber's website. Information is also included in the new Sterling/Rock Falls guidebook which can be obtained for free from the chamber office. Membership List Current members can request a membership list at no charge. Member Referral Program The Chamber refers chamber members when asked for specific contacts for businesses/organizations. New Residence Packets The Chamber works with area employers and realtors to provide new resident packets for those looking to move or moving to the area. This packet includes the Sterling/Rock Falls guidebook which includes the Chamber's membership directory and information and coupons from Chamber members. Networking Opportunities Business After Hours: Business after Hours, (BAH), is sponsored by a different business member each month. Hosting a BAH is the perfect opportunity to showcase your business. It is an occasion that brings our members together for business-to-business and business-to-consumer interaction. A ½ page feature of the event in the Partnering for Success monthly newsletter is provided by the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce as well as potential media coverage. Breakfast Before Business: Breakfast before Business is a quarterly event hosted by Sauk Valley Area Chamber members. This event is designed to help foster additional networking opportunities among chamber members and provides a forum for discussion of business topics and events. A ½ page feature of the event in the Partnering for Success monthly newsletter is provided by the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce as well as potential media coverage. Notary Public Notary Public service is available at no charge. Partner-2-Partner Program This program provides benefits to Chamber members and their employees. The program is designed to work as an incentive to keep dollars spent locally and to encourage consumers to purchase from and recognize our Chamber partners. This is an added benefit to you and your employees. Partnering for Success Newsletter Sponsorship The Newsletter goes out on a monthly basis to the Chamber membership. Ad rates are as follows. Business Card = $35.00 Quarter Page = $80.00 Half Page = $100.00 Cover Color Banner = $150.00 Inserts = $150.00 (Business provides 550 copies of insert) New Member Spotlight – 1/2 page feature with photo = no charge. Radio Spots New members will receive ten FREE 30-second spots on local radio station WSDR 1240AM. ($300 value) The Chamber will record the spots which tell the community about new members and encourage community members to visit the new member. Ribbon Cuttings New members, as well as those who relocate, remodel or change their business, are entitled to a ribbon cutting. Members will benefit by Chamber Ambassadors and city officials being present, as they will promote your business in the community. A photo of your ribbon cutting will be showcased in the Sauk Valley News Daily Gazette newspaper, free of charge, and in the Chamber's Partnering for Success newsletter. ($2-300 value) Seminars The Chamber offers informational seminars on local, state and national issues affecting Sauk Valley Area businesses and our community. Website The Chamber's website includes the membership directory and links to member's websites at www.saukvalleyareachamber.com. The Chamber also keeps track of hits to member websites and can share that information with members upon request. Refund Policy The SVACC Board of Directors approved a policy stating that all final reservations and/or cancellations for events be made four (4) business days prior to the event.
