It should be considered an honor to represent your business as a Sauk Valley Area Chamber Ambassador. As the most visual working group within the Chamber organization, the Ambassadors are vital in contributing to the overall success of the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce. We encourage new Ambassadors to seek guidance and direction from our more experienced members, while reminding them that we are a professional organization that functions as a committee within the Chamber structure, consistent with the direction and guidance of the Board of Directors.

I. TIME COMMITMENT
a. Second Thursday of every month - 12:00 Noon, Monthly Luncheon Meeting at designated site.
b. "Business After Hours", the second Thursday of every month from 5:00-7:00 pm at the designated site.
c. Membership Drive - teamed up with another Ambassador to call on businesses who are not members of the Chamber.
d. Member Visitation Schedule - make monthly contacts with Chamber members and thank them for being members, as assigned by the Director.
e. Availability to leave work to attend Ribbon Cuttings.
f. Ambassadors also help with Chamber projects such as the Business Showcase, Golf Outing, Bowling Extravaganza, Annual Dinner, etc. Also participate in parades such as the annual Seasonal Sights & Sounds and the Mexican Fiesta.

II. ANNUAL DUES
a. $25.00 annually. The Ambassador fund is used for such things as sending flowers when an Ambassador is ill, the annual Ambassador party, prizes for the Membership Drive.
b. This fee is paid every January and is prorated for new Ambassadors

III. ATTENDANCE
a. "Ambassador of the Quarter" Award (monetary) - is given for attendance / contribution at functions held during that quarter.
b. "Ambassador of the Year"
c. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged. Our goal is to raise the visibility of the Chamber and we expect each Ambassador to attempt to make as many functions as possible. The By-Laws stipulate a minimum participation of 50% of activities to remain in good standing.

IV. ATTIRE
a. Blazer - on loan, as available, or required to purchase new.
b. Shirt with logo, "Ambassador" and name.
